Mobile boarding passes were launched on Austrian Airlines in January 2009 across all their routes. Today mobile boarding passes have been delivered to virtually every country in the world on behalf of Austrian Airlines. The speed and degree of adoption of mobile tickets by Austrian’s passengers has surprised even those at Austrian and Trinity Mobile it has been so successful. New passengers are trying out the service and those that have used it in the past are now completely converted to the benefits of mobile boarding passes and use the service every time they fly. A 500% increase in usage rates was experienced between July and October 2009 alone.
